Passion Pit at Madison Square Garden

 

Madison Square Garden, NYC, 2.8.13 – Photos from Passion Pit at Madison Square Garden on February 8, 2013 with Matt & Kim and Icona Pop opening.

 

This was my second time covering Passion Pit, the first time being last summer at Made in America Festival for Rolling Stone.  This is the tour where they are making the jump from club band to arena band.  And with the storm Nemo bearing down on New York City, nothing was going to stop them from playing their first show at Madison Square Garden.  The lights were generally great for this show and the stage had enough props to make it interesting.  Michael Angelakos moves around quite a bit on stage, basically never staying in the same spot for more than a second or 2.  Passion Pit was a straight forward shoot with 2 5Ds and my 24-70 and 70-200.
