Photos: Anthrax at The Wellmont Theatre

The Wellmont Theatre, Montclair, NJ, 10.5.2012 – Anthrax brought their legendary heavy metal status to a legendary theater when they closed out their co-headlining tour with Testament at The Wellmont Theatre in Montclair.  Check out the photos from the Anthrax half of the headlining show by clicking through below.

Anthrax at The Wellmont was easily the most poorly lit show I have shot.  There were lights, yes, but they all came from the back, and they were bright.  Front lighting did not exist.  There wasn’t a little, there wasn’t some reds, there was no front lighting.  The back lighting was a mix of super bright white or red and the stage was covered in fog.  It was like someone was trying to do a fraternity hazing for the photographers.
