The Woodlands, Dover, DE, 7.22.2012 – Fitz and the Tantrums have spent the last 12 months on fire, and their appearance at Firefly Music Festival last weekend continued this. The set made you feel at times that they were alone in the world with the banter between band members not caring about who was watching, and at the same time they make you feel like you are right there on stage with them. The dynamics between band members is infectious and you just can’t help but be glued to what will happen on stage next. Some bands need to be in a dark club indoors at night to give them a “feel” to their sets. But Fitz & the Tantrums don’t need the dark club or cool lighting to give you at set with an impact. At Firefly Festival, they brought so much to the stage that you wanted to be able to see it all. Between the music and the interaction between bands members, it was such a fun show to shoot. I was privileged to shoot their whole set and got through about 3/4 before I realized that I got what I needed and should head over to the next stage.
