Terminal 5, NYC, 2.17.12 – Just a night before Sleigh Bells took the stage at Saturday Night Live, they played a “warm-up” at New York City’s Terminal 5. The crowd was there early to get their spot up front since Terminal 5 is a general admission venue. This night marked the launch of “The Bowery Live” where The Bowery Presents will be live streaming select shows on their YouTube channel. And Sleigh Bells gave a performance worthy of the launch of the channel, and the crowd was loving it.
Touring in support of their new release, Reign of Terror, Sleigh Bells starter their reign at Terminal 5.
This was probably one of the toughest show I have ever covered. Hard to take pics when its just a constant strobe flashing for 3 songs. And when the strobe was off, it was pure darkness. Sleigh Bells is a band full of energy, and with the constant movement, along with the terrible lighting, it’s tough to lock focus when you want to and expose the picture properly.
