Terminal 5, NYC, 11.10.11 – These guys dont need one of my mini-reviews. I knew a little about them before I saw them. And when I saw them I wanted to learn more about them. An absolute fun band on stage, I haven’t seen an opener grab the attention of a crowd like these guys did. Check them out this Spring when they open for Young the Giant.
This was one of those nights where the list gets screwed up and I spend 15 minutes waiting for it to get fixed. Even knowing the people at the venue if they don’t have your name down you aren’t getting in. So after waiting, and missing the first song, I shot the second 2 in less than good lighting. Heavy blues from behind and reds form the front. Tough to make a band look good like that. The great energy on stage lent well to shooting and I think we can all guess the winner in this set. Can’t wait to shoot them again.
