Blondfire at Terminal 5

Terminal 5, NYC, May 3, 2013 – Live music photos of Blondfire opening for Foals at Terminal 5 in New York City on May 3, 2013.

Since I am an avid listener of Alt Nation on Sirius XM, I have heard Blondfire’s single “Where the Kids Are” for a few months so I was excited to see them opening for one of my favorite current bands, Foals.  It isn’t often I make it out to a show for the first of a 3 band line-up.  Not only do I usually not know the band, but the band is usually pushed to the front of the stage and they give them terrible lighting.  Not really the case for Blondfire.  Yes, they were at the front half of the stage but they had plenty of room and used it.  And their lighting was very nice.  But with a lead singer as pretty as Erica, there is no reason to hide her.  And she has the voice to front a band.  They covered Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” and gave me chills.

This was shot almost exclusively with the Canon 5D Mark III and 24-70 at around 5000 iso with decent shutter speeds.
