Madison Square Garden, NYC, 2.16.2013 – Photos of Neon Trees opening for Maroon 5 at Madison Square Garden in New York City on February 16, 2013.
I got to spend another awesome night with Neon Trees at Madison Square Garden, the last being when I went to shoot them when they opened for Duran Duran, although I did not cover Duran Duran. I have photographed Neon Trees a bunch of times now, from the first time I saw them open for My Chemical Romance, to their headlining gig at Webster Hall, back to Terminal 5 when I had a photo run in Rolling Stone’s “Hottest Live Photos” to their 2 appearances at Madison Square Garden. They just don’t disappoint.
Lighting was totally different for all three songs and I was rolling the dials making adjustments on the fly. I did shoot Neon Trees’ set at iso 1600 the whole time, which I haven’t been able to do in a while. No keyboard for Tyler for the first time and it was the least crowded stage I have shoot them on.
