Prowse Farm, Canton, MA, 9.22.2012 – In what is the feel-good event of the year, Life is good company through the annual music festival to benefit children’s charities. Day one saw the likes of Michael Franti and Spearhead, Allen Stone, Soulive, Katie Herzig, and Sarah Bareilles. Check out my day 1 photos from Life is good festival.
Daytime shoots always mean odd lighting with harsh shadows unless the stages are set up just perfectly. The main stage at Life is good festival was in such a spot that the front half was in the sun and the back in the shade. This meant a lot of rolling the dial. Michael Franti’s set was front lit depending on where the band was on stage. Too far forward and you had no front lighting.
