Photos: Avett Brothers at Summer Stage

Summer Stage, Central Park, NYC, 9.19.2012 – The Avett Brothers continued the sold out series of shows at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park with their distinct style of modern folk rock in front of a sold-out crowd.  Check out the pics from their reschedueld Summer Stage show by clicking through the break.

The Avett Brothers were a super fun show to shoot.  Their more recent music is a bit more produced and polished but its a good mix at a live show with their older, raw sound and the fans at Rumsey Playfield ate it up.  Lighting wasn’t as good as I expected.  It actually looked better in person than it did on screen, but the lighting was clean, just not as bright as I expected or saw with my own eyes.  This was the third come around of The Avett Brothers in the past couple of years and having missed the past 2 I was happy to catch them at Summer Stage.
