Terminal 5, NYC, 5.12.2012 – Part electronica, part pop, Neon Indian, led by Alan Palomo, sold out Terminal 5. Touring in support of their 2011 sophomore release Era Extrana, here are my pics from the night.
Neon Indian at Terminal 5 was a show plagued by harsh blue and red lighting along with some smoke to make it even more difficult to shoot. Band members were hidden behind large instruments most of the night. I spent 3 songs hoping I would get a minute with some good lighting but it never happened. And when you have a lead singer who spends more than half his time behind a keyboard, you don’t get much variation from that. I shot Neon Indian at iso 3200, wide open with varying shutter speeds. Most of the work was with the 5D II and 24-70, even though I did use both bodies at Terminal 5.
