Photos: Anthrax at Best Buy Theater 2.8.12

Best Buy Theater, NYC, 2.8.12 – Anthrax, continuing their tiresome touring schedule and making their 4th appearance in New York City in the past 7 months, Anthrax made their third trip to a sold out Best Buy Theater with co-headliners Testament in support of their critically acclaimed 2011 release Worship Music.

This is my second time shooting Anthrax in the past 8 months and both times have been at the Best Buy Theater.  Like when I shot the Secret Show this past summer, the photo pit was packed with photographers.  There may have been 17 this time as opposed to the 20+ the last time I covered them.  The decrease may have been due to Anthrax putting out that non-professional camera would not be allowed in the photos pit.  Kudos to Anthrax for doing this.

Best Buy loves their over-saturated reds and blues which always makes it challenging to shoot there.  My iso was set right around iso3200 the whole shoot, wide open with shutter speeds hovering around 1/200; a bit slower than I like to shoot metal bands.
