Terminal 5, NYC, 5/19/2011 – 3 weeks and about 80 miles apart I shot School of Seven Bells for the second time as an opener. A few weeks ago I covered them as they opened for Interpol at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park and just 3 weeks later, the music remained the same but the feel of the show was much different. Their performance at the Paramount seemed to lack any life. Maybe it was the venue or who they were opening for but this night was much different than the first. They are still not a band full of energy on stage but they definitely connected more with their NYC crowd on this night. As a photographer, you tend to shoot a band better the more times you cover them and I think this set of photos reflects that.
