Photos: Marina and the Diamonds at Webster Hall

Webster Hall, NYC, 8.16.12 – Marina and the Diamonds continued her take-over of the US with 2 sold out shows at Webster Hall.  An elaborate, modern retro styled stage set-up allowed Marina to showcase how she captivates an audience as well as be playful with her stage show.  Touring in support of her latest release, Electra Heart, check out my photos of Marina and the Diamonds from Webster Hall.

Marina and the Diamonds stage show has sort of a modern, kitchy glamour feel to it.  She started the night in a wedding veil, changed to heart shaped glasses after one song and then played without those glasses for song 3, so at Webster Hall we got 3 “looks” in 3 songs.  I have sworn off shooting at Webster Hall but figured they would make sure with Marina and the Diamonds there would be a good amount of front lighting, and there was.  Lighting wasn’t great, but for a Webster Hall show it was glorious.  This show was a big contrast for the type of show Marina and the Diamonds put on a couple of days earlier at the Mondrian Soho.
