Rumsey Playfield, Central Park Summer Stage, NYC, 9.26.11 – So what happens when you step on to the stage in New York’s Central Park in front of over 3k people and you immediately have sound issues with your instruments? You walk to the front of the stage and play acoustic. Immediately getting the crowd on their side, The Punch Brothers brought their progressive brand of bluegrass, popularized recently by bands like Mumford and Sons, to the Summer Stage at Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield.
