Photos: Florence & The Machine at Radio City Music Hall

Radio City Music Hall, NYC, 5.8.2012 – Florence and the Machine has absolutely blown up in the past 7 months and they brought that momentum right through one of the most famous venues in the world at Radio City Music Hall.  In a preview to multiple area appearances coming up this summer, Florence & The Machine performed not only to a live audience, but to a crowd sitting at home watching the performance live on Fuse.  Touring in support of their latest release, Ceremonials, here are my pics from Radio City Music Hall. Photos: Daughtry at Hammerstein Ballroom

Hammerstein Ballroom, 5.1.2012 – Chris Daughtry has come a long way since his fourth place finish on American Idol.  Most fans still remember the look on his face when he was eliminated.  But I think even Chris Daughtry would admit that if someone told him on that day he was eliminated that he would be where he is now, enjoying the success that his band named Daughtry is enjoying, he would have been happy with it.  With 2 number one albums already, Daughtry is touring in support of their third record, Break the Spell.  Check out the pics at Hammerstein Ballroom from the night.

Photos: Red Hot Chili Peppers at Prudential Center

Prudential Center, Newark, NJ, 5.4.2012 – Live music does something to the soul.  And at Friday night’s Red Hot Chili Peppers show at Prudential Center, it felt like everyone needed a little healing.  Earlier in the day, Beastie Boys founder Adam Yauch passed away after a battle with cancer.  But this wasn’t a random death in the music industry and a band paying their respects.  The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys were friends; they came through the industry at similar times and had similar impacts on their genres.

From the time you walked into the arena, it was Beastie Boys playing over the sound system.  But the acknowledgement of the death of Adam Yauch did not end there.  Anthony Kiedis came out in a green t-shirt with M.C.A. written in black marker.  M.C.A.’s death was so fresh there was no way to even get himself a proper one.  And the tribute continued throughout the night.  The Chili Pepper’s front man spoke about M.C.A. after the second song of the night and the band even teased a Beastie Boys.

But the night wasn’t a somber one.  The Red Hot Chili Peppers were in top form, almost inspired by the death of their friend.  And the crowd who walked into an arena with death on their mind were reminded about the life that music breathes into you. (more…)

Photos: Zack Roth Promo Shoot

Zack Roth is a DJ and Producer who I have known for about 7 years now.  Tracks he has produced are being played by some of the biggest DJs in the business.  So Zack figured it was about time for some proper promo photos.  We spoke a couple of times about his intentions for the photos and the vision he had for the shoot.  He needed photos to use for his web site, promotional marketing and for flyers to promote nights he was DJing.
